Mark L. Skaist practices corporate and securities law, focusing on public and private securities offerings,
venture capital transactions, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual property transactions (including
technology and content licensing, development and distribution transactions), primarily in the high
technology/information technology industries. His clients include leading private and public companies
involved in network infrastructure technology, telecommunications, software, new media and
apparel/action sports. Mark is Assistant Chairman of the firm's Corporate Department.
Mr. Skaist is a member of the State Bar of California. He received his J.D. in 1991 from Loyola
Marymount Law School, where he was an editor of the Loyola Law Review, was awarded a Burns
Scholarship for academic achievement, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif and the St.
Thomas More Honor Society.
He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Orange County chapter of the Technology Council of
Southern California and is a member of the Orange County Venture Group. Mr. Skaist is also a
member of the OCTANe Technology Operations Committee and serves as a member of the Board
of Directors of the Discovery Science Center.
